Gong: your agent can read your calls
You can now connect Gong to Simple Product, and your agent can read your recorded calls: who was on them, and what customers said. Product feedback from sales and customer calls no longer depends on someone remembering to log it.
Ask about any call
Once Gong is connected, ask your agent in Simple Product, Claude, or anywhere you use the Simple Product MCP:
- "What calls did we have with acme.com last week?"
- "Read the Acme discovery call and pull out every feature request, just from the customer's side."
- "What did customers say about exports in this week's calls?"
Transcripts come back with each speaker marked as your team or the customer, so your agent can focus on what customers actually said.
Or have calls come to you
Add one automation rule in Gong, and each call is sent to Simple Product as soon as Gong finishes processing it. A skill can pick it up from there. For example: "When a call is recorded in Gong, read it and look for customer feedback." You decide which calls are sent with the rule's filters in Gong.
Set up
- A Gong admin creates an API key in Gong (Company Settings → Ecosystem → API → Get API Key).
- A Simple Product admin pastes the key and secret into Settings → Integrations → Gong. We check the key with Gong right away, so you'll know immediately if something's off.
- Optional: to send calls automatically, create an automation rule in Gong with a Fire webhook action, using the webhook URL shown on the Gong card.
Simple Product only reads from Gong. It doesn't record calls or keep transcripts; Gong stays the record, and anything saved from a call keeps a short quote and a link back to it.
What's next
We're rolling this out with early customers now. Next up is a ready-to-use skill that files feedback from each call: new requests become new feedback, and repeat asks add to the request that's already there, so demand adds up in one place instead of piling up as duplicates.
Thanks to the teams who told us their best product feedback lives in sales calls. Want help setting it up? Reach out.
